Covid-19 has thrown youth sports into ever-changing stream of confusion and frustration. FitSport Kinetics keeps it simple and safer. We now offer new training options for young athletes 8-18 years of age, including outdoor gym equipment, Olympic weight instruction, new Playmaker and Performer Elite HIIT and agility classes, The Wentz Speed Academy and Speed Starter Program, plus, youth afternoon football and cross-training classes in Muay Thai.

PERFORMER ELITE -  Advanced HIIT, Plyometrics & Agility (13-17 years) 

Advanced High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), plyometrics, and agility, in fast-paced, ever-changing, 45-minute open air classes. Develop and and improve the core skills needed to take your game to the next level. Performer Elite establishes the building blocks needed in preparation for the Wentz Speed Academy and for virtually any high level high school and college elite sports training.

THE WENTZ SPEED ACADEMY - High School Level

Kevin Wentz launched the The Wentz Speed Academy at Fitsport Kinetics to focus on scientifically-based training that's all about SPEED. His more than 25 years of experience as co-founder of CATZ Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, and his life long passion for the science behind speed led him to develop a speed school for high-school aged athletes. Using the principles of velocity-based training, Kevin and his team are dedicated to making athletes faster and providing measurable results. Whether you are a football player trying to lower your 40 time, a track sprinter wanting to set a new personal record, or a soccer player needing to boost your overall speed, the Wentz Speed Academy is training for athletes of all sports!

 OUTSIDE OPEN WEIGHTLIFTING AGES 13+

Supervised weightlifting in an outdoor setting for experienced lifters. We recommend the Olympic weightlifting class for those who are starting out. Mask required if distancing not possible.

OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING INSTRUCTION AGES 13+

Learn proper olympic-style weight lifting techniques for safer and more effective results. Instruction includes squats, deadlifts and cleans in small groups of four athletes. All classes are outdoors and all equipment is disinfected after each use. In comparison with other strength sports, which test limit strength (with or without lifting aids), weightlifting tests aspects of human ballistic limits (explosive strength); the lifts are therefore executed faster—and with more mobility and a greater range of motion during their execution—than other strength movements.

PLAYMAKER ELITE HIIT, Plyometrics & Agility (8-12 years)

SPEED STARTER AGES 8-12 years

Young athletes who have mastered the skills of the Playmaker Elite classes may be interested in advancing their performance with our Speed Starter program. Speed Starter classes are the perfect preparation for advanced techniques and training in the Wentz Speed Academy, or other speed schools. Students learn the fundamentals of developing speed, regardless of their sport. Ask the experts, starting speed training at an early age is highly beneficial for the safe and effective development of elite speed.

MUAY THAI CROSS TRAINING Jr. Class 8-12, Teen Class 13+

The benefits of cross training include superior overall conditioning (using all muscle combinations not just specific muscle groups), and reducing exercise boredom. Muay Thai training specifically enhances stamina and cardiovascular strength, hip mobility, hand, arm and leg speed, as well as overall power and self-discipline. Most of all, it's just fun to hit and kick stuff! Heavy bags and practice dummies are used for distancing.

FOOTBALL AGES 10-17 years 

FitSport's football specific training picks up where your summer camps left off. Regardless of your position, our coaches are experienced and ready to help you take your game to the next level. Participants work on all aspects of sound conditioning, agility, position-specific drills, discipline and preparation for game action that gets faster and more powerful.
